He will also be missed by his in-laws, Maurice (Betty) Donnelly of Walkerton, Dan (Marilyn) Donnelly of Pinkerton, and Marg Donnelly (Ken Steffler) of Pinkerton and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Alfred is predeceased by his parents, John and Gertrude (nee Gutscher) Kieffer, infant daughters, Kelly-Ann and Mary-Ann, sisters Bernice (Sylvester) Kuiack and Agnes (infancy), brothers Harley and Jerome (infancy), brothers-in-law Albert Kuntz and J.J. Alfred had a strong work ethic which he instilled in his family. Spanning over 40 years, he worked with Waterloo Cattle Breeders, United Breeders and Gencor, where he made many, many friendships with the farmers in Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties. He then worked for Quality Seeds, where he maintained these relationships.

Alfred was a former trustee for Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board, an avid volunteer for Walkerton Minor Sports, and a member of Knights of Columbus for 50 years. Alfred loved to spend time with family and friends and entertained many with his great sense of humour and quick wit.

A very heartfelt thank you goes out to all the nurses, PSWs, Activity Co-coordinators and the entire staff at Rockwood Terrace for their outstanding care and support given to Alfred and his family during his two years there.

A private family Mass Of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton followed by interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.

Celebration of Life for Alfred will be held later in 2022.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce, the Rockwood Terrace - Activation Program or the Saugeen Hospice Inc. would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and donations may be made through Cameron’s, Walkerton at www.cameronfuneralhomes.com
