Obituary for Beatrice Spitzig

Beatrice Spitzig (nee Meyer), of Chepstow passed away peacefully in her home in her 89th year surrounded by loving family on Monday, September 20, 2021.

Beloved wife of Cyril for 68 years. Loving mother of Lloyd (Minh), Anne Duncan, Joan (Gary) Fischer, Jane (Dave) McKeen, Barbara (Jeffrey) McDonald, Stephen “Speedy” (Colleen), Albin, Dan (Cathy), Mary (Rob) Chapman, Martha (André) Demers. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear sister of Florence Spitzig, and in-laws Dorothy (Walter) Zettler, Mary Zister, Marilyn Spitzig, Elaine Spitzig, Norbert (Carol), and Earl.

Beatrice was predeceased by twin daughters, Beatrice, and Bernice, in infancy, son-in-law Tim, daughter-in-law Dianne, brothers Leander (Dorothy), Frank (Cecilia) and Oscar; in-laws Ray, Joe, Maurice, Andrew, Christine, Harvey Kleist, parents-in-law Albin and Clara Spitzig, and parents Joseph and Josephine (Kunkel) Meyer.

Friends and relatives were invited for casual visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Cameron’s in Walkerton.

A private Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow. Fr. Tom Moisan officiated

A celebration of Beatrice's life was held at the Chepstow Lion's Park Pavilion, following interment at the cemetery.

Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
