Obituary for Ada Mason

Ada Joy Mason of Walkerton passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, following a brief illness at age 92.

Beloved mother of Jill Mason (Bill Calder) of Stratford, and Jackie (Ken) Knoll of Walkerton. Loving grandmother of Tali Calder, Leah Knoll (Jonathan Bagnell), Darcy Knoll (Sarah Parkes), Kendra Knoll (Joel Crocker), and doting great grandmother to Reese, Ada, Kian, Margaret, and Mabel. Also mourning her passing is her brother Royden McCoag, and sister-in-law Donna McCoag. Ada will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and the Mason Family.

Ada is predeceased by her husband James Mason, brother Robert McCoag, sisters-in-law Germaine McCoag and Grace McCoag, and her parents Alfred and Margaret (nee Lawrence) McCoag.

Ada was a devoted member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Walkerton, for over 60 years. She was also a proud member of the Walkerton Women’s Institute for many years. Ada loved to read, knit, sew, cook, and bake, she will always be remembered for her wonderful pies. Our Mother will be remembered mainly for her great kindness to all, her beautiful smile, and wonderful laugh. She will be missed by many.

Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022, at Knox Presbyterian Church, Walkerton, prior to a service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Interment in Walkerton Cemetery.
