Obituary for Doug Berry

Douglas “Doug” William Berry of Walkerton passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family, at age 65.

Beloved husband of Marlene, father of Jason (Suzanne) Berry of Port Coquitlam, B.C., Matt (April) Berry of Walkerton, and April (A.J.) Vella of London. Doug was the proud “Pa” of Adrianne, Cali, Levi, Ila, and Theo. He will be missed by his sister Brenda Berry of Hanover, brothers-in-law Graham Lettau of Chesley and Rob Seidle of Walkerton, Uncle Art (Diane) Holler of Sarnia, Aunt Sheila (Bob) Gebhardt of Hanover, and many nieces and nephews.

Doug lived and served in Walkerton for many years. First, as owner of Doug’s Electronics, doing service work in the back of Bud’s Sound Boutique where he fixed TV’s, stereos, VCR’s, etc., and for the past 19 years, he has been the proud owner of First Line Security, and was joined by his son, Matt, eight years ago. He was a member of the Walkerton Agriculture Society for many years and served on the Chamber of Commerce along with many other service groups.

Doug is predeceased by his parents Clarence and Marjorie (nee Holler) Berry.

Friends and relatives are invited to casual visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Cameron’s. Followed by a private family interment at Walkerton Cemetery. Connie Weber officiating.
