Obituary for Doug Schnurr
Douglas Joseph “Doug” Schnurr of Walkerton passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in his 85th year. Beloved father of Heidi (Wain) Arnold of Walkerton and father-in-law to Marcel Neron of Ottawa. Grandpa of Adam (Brenda), Alicia (Mark), Chantal (Matt), Christopher, Deanna, and great grandpa of Tyler, Aiden, Amelia, Parker, and Spencer. Doug will be missed by his siblings Mary (George) Steffler of Walkerton, John (Gayle) Schnurr of Walkerton, Sister Harriett SSND of Waterdown, Larry Schnurr of Walkerton, the Seegmiller Family, and many nieces and nephews.
Doug is predeceased by his wife Ruth, daughter Shawna Neron, and sister-in-law Joan Schnurr.
Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 5:00 pm. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating.
Cremation will be held with internment at Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton, at a later date.
