Edward Christopher Schmidt, of Walkerton passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 30, 2022 in his 85th year.

Beloved husband of Hannah (nee Collison). Loving father of Melissa (Brad Murison) of Walkerton and cherished grandfather of Lauren Waters. Dear brother of Marylou Cox, Robert (Winnie) all of Walkerton and Martha Monk of Hanover and brother-in-law of Les Binkley of Walkerton. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews as well as members of the Collison family.

Ed was predeceased by his siblings Irene (Herb) Bohnert, Rita (Wally) Scott, John (Delores) Schmidt, Elaine (Bruce) King and Eleanor Binkley.

Family and friends are invited for visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Cameron’s in Walkerton.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating.

Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
