Obituary for Gordon Cassidy

Gordon Cassidy, formerly of Pinkerton, peacefully surrounded by his family, Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Hanover Care Centre in his 89th year.

Loving husband to Gwen (nee Elphick) of 66 years. Beloved father and hero to Pam and Don Maddess of Mitchell, Wendy Cassidy and Doug Cairns of London, Mike and Jane Cassidy of Hanover, Rick Cassidy and Carrie Duhamel of Cargill, Kelly Cassidy and Bruce Kuntz of Formosa. Cherished Grandpa to 13 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Special Uncle to Ken and Sharon Elphick and family. Survived by sisters Betty Kennedy, Norma Mortimer, Charlene Eckensweiler and Diane Lerch and brother-in-law Ron and Doreen Elphick.

Gord was predeceased by his parents Jerome and Lillian (nee Braun) Cassidy; siblings Gerald, Fran, Pat, Bob and Maureen; in-laws Helen, Tom, Hugh, Bea, Mort and Bud as well as parents-in-law James and Mary (nee Richardson) Elphick and brother-in-law Wayne Elphick.

A private family service will be held and a celebration of Gord’s life will be held at a later date.

Interment in Douglas Hill Cemetery, Brockton.
