Obituary for John Allen
John Allen passed away peacefully, after a true fight, leaving nothing on the table.
John was an incredible husband to Jane and together they created two children Josh and Terri (Keith). His heart became larger when he became a Papa to Kylin and Zoe. Kylin and John were best friends and the bond they created will never be broke. John was one of five children, Bill (Carol), Tom, Dave, Peg (Bill). A brother to sisters-in-law Lynda (Dave) and Sandra (Rick).
John is predeceased his brother Larry, parents Dr. Reg and Isabel, parents-in-law Kevin and Rita McGlynn, nephew Shawn Seigmiller and his family dog Coco.
John was a family man and loved wood working, playing baseball, and relaxing with friends. If you knew John, you know he was as tough and stubborn as they come, while in the next breath, giving you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
He was an amazing father, working hard to give his children all the experiences and memories you could pack into one childhood. John was as comfortable in the workshop as he was on couch. He had a knack with keeping his lawn in pristine condition to enjoy BBQs in the back yard at any given time.
He enjoyed being around friends at beer gardens, Lulus’ Dirt Pig street dances, and family events. John and Josh shared the passion for classic cars and will always have the memories of attending Barret Jackson auctions.
He will be missed by many family and friends. Today we don’t mourn our loss but instead we raise a glass and celebrate John’s incredibly full life.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the pool room at 519 Table and Pour, Walkerton. Please come casual.
