John Thomas Thompson, age 75 of Cargill, passed away with his loving family by his side on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Walkerton Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Olive (nee Whitehead). Devoted father of Mary Ann (Dean) Valad of St. Clements and Tom of Cargill. Dearly missed by his grandchildren Melissa and Alexander John “A.J.”.

He will be remembered by his sisters; Eileen Brown and Mary Teeple both of Paisley; his twin sister, Jean Albright of Elmwood; sisters-in-law; Marilyn Thompson of Cargill, Vera Jantzen of Walkerton, Betty Ann Stephenson of Chesley and brothers-in-law; Allen (Dianne) Whitehead of Hanover and Wilfred (Linda) Whitehead of Ingersoll.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary (nee Colwell) Thompson, his brother Lloyd Thompson and, brothers-in-law; Gordon Brown, Bob Teeple, Harry Albright, George Jantzen, Doug Stephenson and parents-in-law Elgin and Anna (nee Lang) Whitehead.

Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton. A funeral celebrating John's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton. Rev. Heather Davies officiating.

Interment in Douglas Hill Cemetery.
