Lawrence "Larry" Alfred Schmidt, age 80 of Hanover, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton. Beloved husband of Ann and father to Laurie (Doug) Kreller of Caledon, Neil (Sweety) of Hanover, and Greg (Christie) of Walkerton. Proud papa of Jason, Jenn (Mike), Jordan, Taylor, Brooklyn, Jeevan, Dylan, Korson, Liberty, and great-papa of Katelyn. He will be missed by his sisters; Jackie Anstett of Waterloo, Monica (Frank) Heisz of London, Carol McDonald of Nova Scotia, Kitty Chisholm of Walkerton, his brother Bill (Maureen) of Walkerton, and remembered by his brother-in-law Frank Schuler of Mildmay and sister-in-law Betty Schmidt of Walkerton.

Predeceased by his parents Norman and Rosalia Schmidt and siblings; Robert (Nancy) Schmidt, Barb Schuler, Tom Schmidt, Mary (Len) Fischer, and brothers-in-law Don McDonald, Tom Chisholm. and Clarence Anstett.

A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Lesek Szczygiel officiating.

A memorial celebrating Larry's life will be held at later date.

Internment at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mildmay.
