Obituary for Raymond Grubb

Raymond Frank Grubb, formerly of Walkerton, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Hanover and District Hospital in his 90th year.
He will be missed by his daughter Colleen (Howard) McDonald of Varney, and his dear friend Sparky. Ray was Grandpa to Nicole and Grandpa Ray to Cassandra (Joee) and Chad (Jocelyn). Great Grandpa to Khail, Brianna, Belle, Julian, Lucian, Trent, Kirsten, Coulter, and Lilly. He will be remembered by his siblings John (Joan) Grubb, Austin Grubb, Walter Grubb, Lucy Millar, Doreen Weber, Shirley Grubb, Phyllis Niesen, Francis Grubb, brother-in-law Norbert Wilhelm, and sister-in-law Leona Grubb.

Ray is predeceased by his wife Helen, sisters Dorothy (Jerome) Wilhelm and Geraldine Wilhelm, brother Ed Grubb, sisters-in-law Leona Grubb, Ann Grubb, and Brenda Grubb, brothers-in-law Robert Lang, Rick Miller, Stan Weber, Don Niesen, and his parents Edward and Amelia Grubb. Ray was also predeceased by his special companion, Florence Walter.

Raymond lived an honest and full 89 years. He worked very hard, first as a farmer, then for over 30 years at Huron Bay Co-Op in Mildmay. Retiring at age 81. He was very social and enjoyed playing cards, travelling, and all social gatherings. A kind, humble man with great love for his family and friends.

Friends and relatives are invited for casual visitation on Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cameron’s in Walkerton. To register for visitation, please use RSVP on Ray’s memorial page. Proof of vaccination does not apply.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating. To register for mass, please use RSVP on Ray’s memorial page. Proof of Vaccination does not apply.

Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
