Obituary for Raymond Anthony Spitzig

Raymond Anthony Spitzig, formerly of Chepstow, passed away at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. He was 84.

Beloved husband of 62 years to Florence Spitzig (nee Meyer). Loving father of Peter (Cathy), Paul, all of Walkerton, Bill (Rita) of Waterloo, Tom (Darlene) of Walkerton, Susan (Joe) Steffler of Kearney, Jim (Nancy), John (Rosie), Dave (Cathy) and Sharon (Darryl) Johnson all of Walkerton. Cherished grandfather of 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Cyril (Bea) of Chepstow, Dorothy (Walter) Zettler, Joe (Mary) all of Walkerton, Norbert (Carol) of Mildmay and Earl (Chris) of Formosa and brother-in-law of Elaine Spitzig and Marilyn Spitzig both of Walkerton.

Ray was predeceased by his brothers Maurice and Andrew; one great-grandson; brother-in-law Harvey Kleist and parents Albin and Clara (nee Zettler) Spitzig.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton with parish prayers at 5:45 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Tom Moisan officiating.

Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
