Obituary for Ronald Elwood Fisk

Ronald Elwood Fisk passed away peacefully in the presence of close friends at Chapman House Hospice, Owen Sound, on June 13, 2020. He was 73.
He was predeceased by his parents Elwood and Edith Fisk and brother Bob.

Ron, a Walkerton native, spent his early years attending local schools and graduated from Walkerton District Secondary School in 1965. It was during these formative years that Ron began honing the musical skills that saw him become a multi-talented musician. Studying under the ever watchful eyes and guidance of well known piano teacher Elizabeth O’Connor, Ron spent the ensuing years forging his way to eventual certification from the Royal Conservatory Of Music in Toronto. During those years he gave pleasure to countless people at recitals, concerts and public events with his music. His professional career took him down many paths. In addition to performing as an accomplished pianist, organist and flautist he also gave lessons in those instruments, coached voice and conducted choirs. He was often guest organist at churches in the Bruce-Grey area. Over the years Ron mentored many aspiring musicians who went on to accomplishments of their own. In time Ron added “Court Reporter” to his resume and enjoyed the additional challenges that occupation provided.
Ron’s musical gifts touched many lives and he leaves behind a life well lived and talents not wasted. A kind and generous man, he will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Ron's life will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Residential Hospice of Grey-Bruce directed to either Chapman House in Owen Sound, or South Hospice, Walkerton, would be greatly appreciated.
