Obituary for Wilbert Phillippi

Wilbert Joseph Phillippi of Chepstow, passed away on August 20th, 2021 at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton at the age of 87. Wilbert was a life-long Bruce County farmer and a partner in the Folmer and Phillippi Sawmill.

He is survived by his brother Francis of Chesley, sister Florence (Bill) Zettler of Portage la Prairie MB and sister-in-law Jeanne Phillippi of Walkerton. Also left to cherish his memory are his nieces and nephews:
Helen Phillippi of Cabri SK, Ann (Gary) Gooch of Raleigh, North Carolina, Rita (Bill) Spitzig of Waterloo, Maurice (Michelle) Phillippi, Bill (Denise) Phillippi, all of Cargill, Marian Green of Windsor, Rosemary MacGregor of Barrie, Laureen (Chris) Arnold of St. Jacobs, Leonard (Bobbi Lynn) Phillippi of Cargill, Mary (Flynn) McGunigal of Winnipeg MB, Marjorie (Joel) Lim of Arlington, Virginia, Michael Zettler of LaSalle MB, Marcel (Nanette) Zettler of Winnipeg MB, Nancy (Brent) Metcalfe of Oak Bluff MB, Vincent (Sharon) Zettler of Portage la Prairie MB, Peter (Rebecca) Zettler of Treherne MB, Katie (Tom) Kemmerer, Clive, Iowa and Daniel (Leanne) Zettler of Neepawa MB.

Wilbert is predeceased by his parents Louis and Mary (nee Fischer) Phillippi, and his brother Clare.

Visitation will be held on the Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Mary Immaculate Church, Chepstow from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Luc Payette officiating.

Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
