I don't have a single skating memory that doesn't include Mr Moore. He was the best coach any kid could have asked for and he helped shape me into the person I am today. I was so very sad to hear of his untimely passing and would like to share my deepest condolences to his family. Curtis I am so sorry for your loss and am sending you a giant hug!

Dear Jacqueline, Bill, April, Mark & Curtis, I am so sorry for your pain at Blaine’s sudden passing. As Blaine leaves you it is like a ship that sails away and you stand watching till Blaine fades on the horizon. Someone at your side says "Blaine is gone." Gone where? Gone from your sight, that is all - in truth Blaine is just as large as when you saw him last.......the diminished size and total loss of sight is in us, not in him......and just at the moment when he leaves our sight and we say "He is gone" there are others on the other side who are watching his coming , and voices take up a glad shout.......there he c
omes.....and lucky for him, Fred, along with the rest of your families are all waiting for him and what a reunion that will be.

Margaret and Bob Gavreluk

To the Moore family.
From the Gavreluks.
We were saddened to hear that Blaine has passed away recently.
Blaine and the Moore familly were responsible for the wonderful times in Wingham when the Moore family and the Gavreluk family were involved in figure skating with each other.
Blaine will always be a treasured memory in the hearts of the Gavreluks.

So saddened to hear of Blaine's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his mom, April, Curtis and Mark and their families. I had the pleasure of skating with all 4 of the Moores when we were all in our teens. Blaine is the one we all looked up to.

Mark, Curtis and Families,

Please accept my sincere sympathies. It has been many years since I have seen Blaine, but he will always be a part of early life and time in skating that is such an important part of who I am. I spent many many hours sharing the ice with him in Chatham and Mooretown. He coached my hockey-playing brother during his brief figure skating career and even wrote away for permission to allow him to the Hockey Night in Canada theme song of the time for his free skating program. What a huge effort to accommodate a little boy. When I mentioned Blaine's passing to my husband the other day, he immediately asked if Blaine was the coach that got the HNIC music for my brother, David. Pretty incredible. He has been so important and made such an impact on so many young lives! What a legacy he leaves for you all. I am so sorry for your loss.
