Obituary for Richard Wayne Sovereign

Richard “Wayne” Sovereign, of Walkerton passed away at Walkerton Hospital on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the age of 70.

Wayne loved kids and enjoyed the many hours he spent at the arena or ball diamond watching their games. He could often be found on the main street giving a wave or a little dance to those passing by. In his quiet unassuming way, Wayne impacted many lives. He will forever have a special spot and be missed by Crystal, Ryan, Nicole, Garret, Jana and Nigel Kreager .

Wayne’s funeral service will be live streamed from the Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11: 00 a.m. Ann Maycock officiating.

Interment in Douglas Hill Cemetery, Brockton.

I think a lot of people knew Richard, even though many never knew his name. They knew him for his smiles, his waves, and, yes, his littles dances. He will be missed around town. Condolences to those who knew him best.
